Climate of Rajasthan
Stretching diagonally across the State from the South-West to North-East separate the desert
and semi-desert areas to the West from the sub-humid areas in the East. The large part of Rajasthan
is desert and it has little forest cover. The weather of Rajasthan is mostly hot and arid.
Rajasthan enjoys brief spells of rainfall and the summers get really hot with the temperature

Summer
Summers in Rajasthan are a time of scorching heat and hot winds. The summer season extends from April to June. The temperature during this period ranges anywhere between 32 to 48 degree Celsius. Western Rajasthan particularly has temperature as high as 48 degree c. It is only in the hill station of Rajasthan Mt Abu that one can expect some sort of respite from the hot weather. The summer nights in Rajasthan are however cooler.Monsoon
Between July and September Rajasthan enjoys frequent spells of Rain. During this season one witnesses a fall in temperature of Rajasthan. However the humidity level increases. The temperature ranges from 35 to 40 degree Celsius.Post Monsoon
This is the season when temperature further drops in Rajasthan. This season lasts from October to November. The average maximum temperature is 33 degree C to 38 degree C, and the minimum is between 18 degree C and 20 degree C.Winter
Between December to March Rajasthan enjoys a cool climate. January is the coolest month of the year in Rajasthan. In the State however there are variations between the temperatures of the cities. The temperature during this season ranges from 10 degree to 27 degree Celsius.North India Features
