Itinerary

DAY 1 - Arrive in Chennai

Arrive in Chennai, the gateway to Tamil Nadu’s temples. Begin with visits to Kapaleeshwar, Kalikambal, and Vadapalani Murugan temples. Explore the bustling streets of Mylapore Tank and Mandavali, filled with local shops, flower vendors, and street food.

DAY 2 - Chennai to Kanchipuram

Drive to Kanchipuram, the city of a thousand temples. Visit Ekambaranathar, Kailasanatha, Varadharaja Perumal, and Kamakshi Amman temples. Discover the art of silk weaving, a tradition integral to South Indian culture, before heading to Mahabalipuram.

DAY 3 - Mahabalipuram

Explore the UNESCO-listed Mahabalipuram, known for its rock-cut temples and carvings. Visit the Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, Krishna’s Butterball, and the Five Rathas. Don’t miss the view from the lighthouse overlooking the sea.

DAY 4 -Mahabalipuram to Kumbakonam

Travel to Kumbakonam, famous for its Navagraha Temples. Visit Vaitheeswaran Koil, dedicated to Mars, as well as Airavateswara and Mahalingeswarar temples. Overnight stay in Tanjore.

DAY 5 - Tanjore

Explore Tanjore, the ancient capital of the Chola Empire, and visit the iconic Brihadeeshwara Temple, one of the tallest temples in the world, made entirely of granite.

DAY 6 - Tanjore to Tiruchirappalli

Head to Tiruchirappalli to explore the Srirangam and Jambukeswarar temples, and visit the Rock Fort Temple for panoramic views of the city and Kaveri River.

DAY 7 - Trichy to Rameswaram

Travel to Rameswaram, a significant pilgrimage site, and visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple. Witness the sacred footprints of Lord Ram.

DAY 8 - Dhanushkodi

Take a jeep tour to Dhanushkodi, where the Bay of Bengal meets the Indian Ocean. Enjoy serene views of the ocean and birdlife before returning to Rameswaram.

DAY 9 - Rameswaram to Madurai

Visit Madurai, home to the famous Meenakshi Temple, along with the Subramanya Swamy and Pazhamudhir Solai temples.

DAY 10 - Return to Chennai and Depart

Return to Chennai for onward travel or departure.
