Itinerary
Welcome to India! You will be received at Indira Gandhi International airport by one of our executives and later shall be transferred to your hotel for overnight stay. Remaining time is completely at leisure.
Board the morning flight to Udaipur known as the ‘City of Lakes’ and the most romantic city in India. Upon arrival you will be received and transferred to your hotel. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Evening you may stroll around the shores of Lake Pichola to watch the sunset over the city’s beautiful temples, palaces, hills, ghats (stairs).
After having a leisurely breakfast, your tour of Udaipur begins with a visit to the beautiful City Palace on the shores of Lake Pichola. Comprised of several different palaces built over the generations by various Maharanas (w 0 arrior kings), who ruled over Udaipur at the time, the complex has different architectural styles and elaborate detailing like the filigreed balconies, beautiful carvings and painted frescoes. Next visit the biggest and most beautiful temple in Udaipur, the Jagdish Temple, which was built in 1651. Post lunch, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, or the Garden of the Maids, which was built to provide an escape from the overpowering heat of the court for the queen and her ladies in waiting. This ornamental garden includes fountains, pools, pavilions, and statues in it. At sunset, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola to appreciate the beauty of this romantic city from the calm and tranquil waters. Visit Bagore ki Haveli for enjoying a cultural performance of Rajasthani Folk Dances. Overnight at the hotel.
Drive to Mount Abu – one of the popular hill stations in Rajasthan surrounded by serene lakes and green landscapes offers a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. The hill station treats you with British styled mansions, royal bungalows and cottage houses. On arrival at Mount Abu, check into your hotel and relax for a while. Post lunch, explore the attractions by walking along the cliffs. Enjoy boating in the Nakki Lake and float on the beautiful lake and enjoy the scenery around. Next, you can head to the Achalgarh fort in Mount Abu. Later in the evening, right at the time of sunset, arrive at the sunset point. It’s indeed a glorious sight to see and enjoy the sunset. So, get a glimpse of it and head to a nearby authentic restaurant for dinner and retire back to your room for overnight stay.
After having your breakfast, head to the most-visited Mount Abu wildlife Sanctuary. Explore the natural green paradise and greet a wide variety of flora and fauna species. Later in the noon, head to the Dilwara Jain temple. With eye-catching marble work, intricate design on walls, the temple is one of the famous attractions. Its magnificent structure and splendid architecture will lure you inside and put you in awe. Post lunch, it is time for self-exploration. If you wish to relax around, head to the Peace Park and meditate for a while. Get the essence of the park by walking around it. If you feel like roaming around, drive to the Abu road and enjoy the climate. On the way back visit the Tibetan markets and explore inside it. Return back to the hotel and evening is at leisure.
Drive to Jodhpur today and enroute, take a halt at the beautiful Jain temples of Ranakpur, supported by 1444 marble pillars, each of them intricately and artistically carved, yet no two of them are alike. Continue your journey to Jodhpur. Arrive and check in. Jodhpur is also known as the blue city, due to the city’s houses being painted in blue. It is the cultural capital of Rajasthan, with historic temples, forts, and palaces, fascinating architecture, and beautiful art. In the evening, take a stroll around the Clock Tower area and the beautiful local bazaars in the winding narrow streets and return back to the hotel.
After having breakfast, take a tour of the majestic Mehrangarh Fort built in 1459. It is one of the most formidable and impressive structures in India and is an architectural marvel. After exploring the fort, continue your tour to the royal cenotaphs of Jaswant Thada. Later drive to Jaisalmer, nicknamed as the “Golden City” for the yellow sandstone this fortified citadel is made of. Upon arrival, you will be driven straight to the Sam Sand Dunes to enjoy a camel ride and see the sunset. Evening folk dance performances followed by dinner at the camps. Overnight stay at the desert camps.
Drive to Jaisalmer city and visit the beautifully-carved Jain temples and the city’s magnificent Havelis (merchants’ mansions), including Patwon ki Haveli (the largest) and Nathmal Ki Haveli, built at the end of the 19th century. Also visit Bada Bagh, a garden complex with several royal cenotaphs. It’s a great place to admire the sunset and photograph the walled city. You can also walk down to Gadisar Lake, a water reservoir located south of the fortress. Evening is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Drive through the Thar Desert and to the historic city of Bikaner in northeastern Rajasthan. Established by Rao Bika, the son of Maharaja Rao Jodha (the founder of Jodhpur), in 1488, Bikaner quickly became an important stop on the trade route between Central Asia and the Gujarat coast, before becoming an important cultural center for arts and architecture under Mughal rule in the 16th century. After checking in, a half-day sightseeing tour of this beautiful city starts with a visit to the majestic Junagarh Fort, which was built by Raja Rai Singhji between 1571 and 1611. Inspired by his overseas trips, Junagarh Fort comprises palaces, temples, pavilions, monuments, and art. Also visit a Camel Breeding Farm by the evening.
After having a leisurely breakfast, drive to Jodhpur Airport to board your flight to New Delhi and upon arrival, take an internal shuttle transfer to the International terminal for your flight back home [The Tour Ends]
